Working as the manager of mining at this operation in Africa, you will be responsible for the mining production activities of an open pit operation. As a solutions focussed manager providing technical, management and leadership to the geology, engineering, production and surveying departments your extensive experience will be viewed as a great asset to this operation.

Having a solid track record in an overseas mining environment, and a keen eye for analysing data, implementation of change management and a determination to manage and effect safety this position will offer a rewarding environment. A significant part of this position will also be the management, negotiation and QS of the various mining contractors, haulage operators and drill blast providers.

To be considered for this role a degree in mining engineering is essential, the understanding or budget preparation, implementation and management is also critical. Strong computer skills including CAD software , Vulcan and other scheduling packages is also desirable. However it is essential for a role of this level and geographical location that you can work autonomously with minimal external guidance.

Working on a FIFO roster from most major capitals in Europe or Australasia this position will bring professional challenges but will reward the successful applicant at all levels.
