Key Role in a large international mining company

Perseus Mining Limited has an established reputation as one of the world’s most successful gold explorers and has demonstrated a credible track record of resource growth. Focused on underexplored gold belts in West Africa, Perseus has identified significant deposits in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. The company’s vision is to expand its gold resource base through rapid exploration of existing ground and the acquisition of prospective new projects, whilst also developing the Ayanfuri Gold Project over the next two years. The 5Moz Ayanfuri Gold Project (Central Ashanti Gold Project ) will commence development in late 2009, with gold production planned in 2011.

This position assumes the direct responsibility for the project management of the construction of the process plant and related infrastructure of the Ayanfuri Gold Project, whilst ensuring ????? ????? is brought into production on time and on budget. Your experience managing the construction of mining projects in Africa will provide you with the knowledge to liaise with and manage the soon to be appointed EPCM contractor engaged by Perseus. You will ensure that Safety, Health and Environmental Management requirements are properly addressed and will have the ability to plan, organise and direct all project activities associated with the site. It is anticipated that this will be a contract role spanning two to three years.
