We currently have a vacancy for a senior chief pilot to be based in Afghanistan. These are long term and secure projects.
Reporting directly to the operations manager. The role is a fly in fly out role. Based on a 13 week rotation.
The role requires:
Control and organization of fixed and rotary wing flight operations.
Provide advise to operations personnel on operation capabilities of air fleet.
Work with operations and management to develop operational policies and procedures.
Conduct aircraft crew member training and standard operating procedures.
Monitor flight crew procedures and activities.
Verifies and ensures aircraft crew member proficiency.
Supervise and mentors air crews.
Develops, updates and audits standard operating procedures and manuals as necessary.
Brief aircrews on operation and theatre specific conditions.
It is essential that the successful candidate have:
- A strong familiarity with capabilities and controls of soviet aircraft.
- Experience in command and control army airspace AC2C - experienced in aircraft and airspace deconfliction.
- A broad understanding of aircraft tactics, techniques and procedures for :
- mountain flying and operations
- Restricted visibly operations
- Internal and External load operations
- Threat reaction and reporting procedures
- Performance and planning.
- Flight and crew discipline.
- Detailed comprehension of FAA and ICAO requirements including,but not limited to passenger operation, transport of hazardous material, standardization programs, compliance programs, weight balance, flight plan filing and preparation.
- Ability to develop aircrew immerson and local area orientation procedures,
- Knowledge and experience working with USAF Flight regulation AFI 11-202 V3, NATOPS - Naval Marine Flights Regulations,US Army Flight Regulations AR 95 -1
It is also highly desirable that the successful applicant has the ability to speak Russian language, and has previous experience Combat Flight Experience in Iraq or Afghanistan.
