Manager Customer Sales
Sandvik Mining and Construction is a global company with approximately 47000 employees in 130 different companies. Region Australia Pacific extends from Australia to Freeport, New Zealand, Philippines and Indonesia, and employs 2000 employees in 72 sites.
The Manager Customer Sales is a high level sales position within the company and is responsible for a customer base in a specific geographical area. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing customer accounts through an effective sales process.
The key focus of this role is to manage your customers by identifying their needs and orchestrating internal resources, services and processes to satisfy this need. You will do this by building sound relationships with customers at all levels of the organisation.
In this role you will:
- Adhere to al Sandvik Mining and Construction Policies & Procedures especially the EHS policies.
- Develop opportunities across the Sandvik Mining & Construction product range including consumables, equipment service, performance contracts and spare parts, with a view to increase market share.
- Ensure that your customers have the latest Sandvik Mining & Construction product technology.
- Prepare and coordinate tenders.
- Prepare timely sales reports and presentations, utilise and maintain sales tools and account development plans.
- Conduct monthly reviews of account status.
- Communicate and follow up on marketing issues including customer concerns, service, spare parts, consumables, performance and competitor’s activity.
- Forecast inventory requirement for Customers.
- Ability to travel and visit remote mine sites in SA and NT.
- Research and monitor new mining projects.
YOUR PROFILE
You will require sales experience preferably in the mining sector and in particular experience in selling and supporting consumable products through to capital equipment to end users. A Tertiary or Trade qualification will be an advantage. Computer skills are essential and also a preparedness to travel to visit customers on a regular basis to carry out duties of this role.
You will need a strong understanding of Customers businesses and their processes along with business development experience with demonstrated growth results. A sound knowledge of solution provision and customer value add selling is an advantage.
