Communications Manager
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of internal and external communications strategies and effectively communicate the ‘voice’ of our client. Providing high level strategic advice and guidance to the Director of Marketing and other senior managers in respect of media issues, management of internal / external communication, you will also provide leadership to a small team of Media Officers.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will show specialization in internal and external communications, the ability to work across large and diverse multi-stakeholder environments, and demonstrate innovative communication strategies to maximise positive profiling opportunities. Essential are strong consultative skills, the ability to present at executive level and manage a demanding workload. You will ensure the successful delivery of communications activities including media liaison, press releases, speech writing, media training and publications.
Experience in bringing about long term change in large and diverse organisations, and tertiary qualifications in Media Relations, Communications, Public Relations or a related field are vital.
Term of Position
This fixed-term position is available immediately for a period of 3 years.
