Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer needs to have a strong handle on HV power systems and also be able to troubleshoot the various PLC systems (eg Siemens, Allan Bradley) in this heavy industrial plant. You will be required to roll up your sleeves to perform HV isolations in emergency situations and at the same time have a solid understanding of HV system design to be comfortable discussing these with third-party design consultants.
As a professional Electrical Engineer with several years experience in heavy industrial environments (ie mining, petrochemical, minerals processing) you’ll be looking for another senior role which will allow you to work closer to home. You will not be daunted if called upon to change HV fuses and circuit breakers and at the same time you’ll need to provide clear direction and communication to the rest of the Electrical team.
