    The City of Holdfast Bay is seeking individuals for two General Inspector vacancies. These individuals need to have the right attitude, who would like the opportunity of learning all aspects of General Inspectorial work and be able to provide excellent customer service.
     
    Ideally, the successful applicants will possess the following skills and attributes:
     
    • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn all tasks associated with the role; 
    • Good character, honesty, dependability, tolerance and well-groomed presentation; 
    • Capability of effective, professional communication (both written and verbal); 
    • Team orientated individual; 
    • Ability to work without direct supervision;
     The key objectives/responsibilities of the position are:
     
    • Animal management, including the collection of stray animals for impounding; 
    • Professionally liaising with other staff and members of the public and responding to enquiries; 
    • Patrolling by vehicle and on foot all areas under the jurisdiction of the City of Holdfast Bay as directed therefore a current drivers licence is essential for this position; 
    • Whilst training will be provided, this position will require the successful applicant to issue expiation notices, investigate offences, prepare statements and reports, undertake various administrative tasks under the relevant acts, regulations, Council policies and by-laws; 
    • Assist and support the Manager, Regulatory Services as required and directed 
    These positions and salary will be based on Level 3/Step 1 ($51,254) in accordance with the Municipal Officers 1998 (SA) Award and Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. 
     
    There will be out of hours work required, of which will be negotiated in accordance to roster. 
     
    Certificate in Regulatory Services desirable.
