My client is looking to recruit an energetic, well organized and highly motivated Business Development Manager to be responsible for selling our capabilities to various clients within the Victorian / South Australia geographic region. We need someone who has railway control centres / signaling experience, is able to gain the respect and confidence of our clients whilst identifying solutions to meet their needs.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the sales and marketing activities directed at key customers, provide product solutions and will support tendering activities within the sales territories. The role reports to the Business Development Director and works alongside other engineering and project staff located in the Melbourne office.
The ideal candidate should possess;
Knowledge and experience on railway signaling systems
Prior sales experience or qualifications with an existing rail industry profile / contact base
Proven technical sales experience and track record with the desire to drive improved results
Superior client focus, with a commitment to service and the ability to exceed their expectations
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to form lasting and positive relationships with people at many different levels of the clients organization
Superior verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work flexibly within a team environment, with minimal supervision and be a self starter with a high degree of personal maturity
Excellent personal organization skills with a proven ability to follow through tasks to completion
Ability to innovate and identify alternate solutions
Excellent commercial skills and acumen
Strong computer skills
