A Brief History
Whilst the business originally commenced in 1980, i.Power Solutions was born
on the 2nd April 2001 following the divestment and merger of Nu-Lec Industries
Switchgear and Projects divisions. Since this time the business has grown both
organically with the establishment of a branch in Mackay and Newcastle and further
through the acquisition of a subsidiary company in Perth (Tanis IPS) and Cairns
(Industrial & Marine Electrics). A new corporate office and factory in the
prestigious Rivergate Marine Precinct at Murarrie (with river glimpses) is the
most recent development providing for future growth opportunities.
Today the i.Power Solutions Group operates from seven strategic locations
throughout Australia and employs over 360 people.
Structure and Organisation
i.Power Solutions Pty Ltd is a privately owned company incorporated in Australia
operating from Brisbane (Corporate Office & Factory), Mackay and Newcastle. Two
subsidiary companies, Tanis IPS in Perth, Western Australia and Industrial & Marine
Electrics in Cairns, Queensland add significant synergy, capability and resources to
the Group. A further 100% owned subsidiary, i.Power Utility Services (affectionately
known as iPUS) specialises in site based substation work primarily for the utility sector.
Quality & Safety
i.Power Solutions commitment to quality and excellence is evidenced through comprehensive
internal quality systems, procedures, and testing practices that are accredited to the
internationally recognised standard AS/NZS ISO 9001: 2000 and AS/NZS 3800: 2005. Quality
is enhanced through the continued investment in manufacturing technology, product
development and engineering resources.
The health and safety of all i.Power Solutions employees is of paramount importance to the
company. The development of a zero injury culture is reinforced with comprehensive safety
systems, policies and procedures. The involvement of staff at all levels in the organisation
is actively encouraged to ensure workplace health and safety remains a priority.
