Healthscope was formed in 1985 and has grown from strength to strength to become one of Australia's leading providers of healthcare services.

Healthscope operates 43 private hospitals across every state and territory of Australia. In addition, it also manages three hospitals in South Australia under the Adelaide Community Health Alliance (ACHA). Healthscope's national footprint makes it a unique healthcare provider and firmly places it as the second largest private hospital provider in the country.

In addition, Healthscope operates an internationally renowned pathology business including Gribbles Pathology with 63 laboratories in Australia as well as laboratories in New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, DCdeL Laboratories in NSW. Healthscope also has a growing medical centres division with over 45 centres and a diagnostic imaging division centred in major hospitals.
