Guide Dogs SA.NT is recognised for providing high quality integrated services to individuals
who require sensory support. We provide our services in South Australia, the Northern Territory and Broken Hill and are
committed to ensuring clients in these areas receive quality instruction and support.
Guide Dogs SA.NT provide the following:
Guide Dog Services
The Guide Dog Services team interview, assess and train new clients and provide after-care and follow up
of existing guide dog clients. A variety of programs are delivered to clients from residential class programs to in-home
training. A pilot program for Autism Assistance Dogs commenced in November 2008.
Volunteers are critical in the development of our organisation and commit valuable time and resources
into:
- Puppy Raising
- Home Boarding
- Emergency Boarding
Vision Services
The Vision Services team provides non-guide dog mobility support, including Orientation and Mobility
(O&M), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Vision Services, Low Vision Services, and education and support programs on a
statewide basis.
Sensory Directions
The Sensory Directions team provides a statewide case management service to people with a sensory
disability. Clients may be Deaf, hearing impaired, blind, vision impaired or deafblind and may also have other complex
disabilities.
Hearing Solutions
Hearing Solutions assists adults with acquired hearing loss to maintain their independence through the
provision of quality, integrated services.
