GroundProbe is a highly innovative and dynamic company developing and supplying its unique measurement systems and services to the international mining and civil infrastructure industries.

GroundProbe's Slope Stability Radar technology has already achieved outstanding success in the global mining industry, having detected numerous wall collapses with sufficient warning to evacuate people and equipment. Equally successful, the company's Ground Penetrating Radar services are also being applied in mining, civil construction and infrastructure industries in Australia and abroad.

GroundProbe has a global user community of its products and services which is composed by some of the world's largest mining companies. By accessing GroundProbe's products and services, users join a global network of professionals sharing their experiences on the application of these technologies, for both the reduction of risk and the improvement of safety and productivity.


History

GroundProbe was formed in 2001 as a spin-off from The University of Queensland. The original R&D projects and associated technical teams were initially funded by a variety of loans and grants including strong support from the Cooperative Research Centre for Sensor Signal and Information Processing (CSSIP), the Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP), the Australian Commonwealth Government, the Queensland State Government, and local companies.
