Course overview
Information technology is an integral component in many business environment. With its rapidly changing nature there is a need for skilled professionals who can lead in this dynamic environment. The Master of Technology (Business Systems) provides a framework of conceptual knowledge and problem solving strategies for the use of information technology as a major component of business strategy and related operations.
This program aims to develop students who are able to contribute to the design, development and implementation of information related systems within their relevant domain to address both operational and strategic challenges.
Course structure
To qualify for the award of Master of Technology (Business Systems) students must complete twelve units.
Entry requirement
The Master of Technology (Business Systems) is a conversion program targeted at people who have at least 12 months relevant work experience and an approved undergraduate degree in a non-Information Technology discipline.
The recommended progression to Masters level for applicants without an undergraduate degree is through the Graduate Certificate in the first instance, with articulation to Graduate Diploma and Masters levels being conditional upon successful completion of the subordinate level. Note that applicants without an undergraduate degree require at least 4 years relevant work experience for admission to the Graduate Certificate (Business Systems).
