Course overview
From 2012 the postgraduate Business Management courses are available only to existing students. No new applications will be processed and only students already admitted will be able to complete the award.
Monash University has introduced a new postgraduate Master of Management course to replace the Master of Business Management course.
The Master of Management is directed toward the development of management capabilities in the context of changing and dynamic organisational environments and is designed to provide students with a comprehensive, intellectually demanding and up-to-date understanding of management concepts and practice.
The Master of Business Management course focuses on the application of theory into business contexts relevant to practising professionals. The course covers contemporary issues relevant to practitioners operating in a local, national or international organisational environment.
Students can study towards a range of qualifications. Master of Business Management students can exit the course after four units and receive the award of Graduate Certificate or after eight units for the Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
Course structure
To qualify for the Master of Business Management, students must complete twelve units consisting of:
- Six core units
- Six elective units from the list provided
- Students must complete the Masters degree within five years of registering for the degree
