Pilkington (Australia) Limited is Australia’s only manufacturer of glass for Automotive and Building Applications.

Advanced processing facilities produce most of the varied glass types for Australia’s growing needs. These include clear and toned float glass, together with wired and decorative glasses and, of course, mirror. Among the specialised glasses for both the domestic and commercial sectors are laminated, toughened and ‘high performance’ architectural glasses, while local vehicle manufacturers have been supplied with Pilkington automotive glass since 1935. New energy saving products such as Evergreen® and Pilkington ‘K’ Glass® have been manufactured and introduced in the last 5 years.

Pilkington (Australia) Limited is part of the worldwide Pilkington Group; the world’s largest glass manufacturer and principal glass supplier to the Architectural and Automotive markets.

Pilkington (Australia) Limited manufactures glass at three sites - Ingleburn & Alexandria in NSW and Dandenong in Victoria - with 2 laminating manufacturing sites, a mirror line and eight toughening furnaces. State of the art automotive glazing manufacturing plants are located at Geelong, Laverton and Pooraka. Pilkington (Australia) Limited distributes, wholesales, retails and processes glass via 30 sales centres around the country, servicing glass merchants, window fabricators and builders, employing over 1600 people.
