Dream Social Work is a global recruitment agency, which supplies Social Work staff to Social Services authorities and private organisations all over the UK and Ireland.
Dream Social Work has over 10 years’ experience in recruiting for public and private sector health services in the UK. Our staff have extensive experience within their specialist areas having worked within the Social Work recruitment industry for many years
Dream Social Work has three UK based offices. The first benefits from an office adjacent to Leicester Square in London, the second is situated in Halifax, West Yorkshire and the third is situated in Rugby, Warwickshire. In addition we also have overseas offices in Cape Town, Brisbane and Sydney, and virtual offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Durban, Johannesburg, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Becoming a Dream Candidate
All of our candidates, whether UK or overseas-based are required to complete our stringent vetting and registration process. This includes providing documentation including:
• An application form
• A minimum of two recent, relevant professional references
• A police check from their country of origin or CRB check if working with vulnerable client groups
• Written declaration of any criminal convictions
• A health declaration
• Original proof of identity (America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: passport or birth certificate or driving license; UK, South Africa: passport or birth certificate)
• Sight of original qualification and professional registration
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
If a candidate passes all aspects of the registration process described above, they are accepted onto the Dream Register and we will start to look for work for them.
Permanent and Locum Positions
We provide you with quality service, extensive choice of jobs, benefits and continued support throughout your career. Ultimately our aim is to provide for your needs through a flexible and tailored service. We are also able to offer assistance with relocation and permanent positions.
For our overseas candidates we offer you additional assistance with work permits and visas, we are also able to offer full assistance with the registration process with your relevant governing body in the UK and run regular courses and workshops for any profession that requires you to sit a written assessment for registration. Once we have secured your ideal job we will be on hand to assist with all aspects of your transfer to the UK to ensure time here is as enjoyable and stress free as possible.

Professional support
Dream Consultants speak to all of their candidates every week. This gives us the opportunity to confirm that everything is going well and to deal with any issues that may arise.
In addition we also offer an induction course and professional training for your first year in the UK.
Personal support
Social Events – we hold regular social events for our candidates once they have been accepted on to our register. We have regular parties in the UK for our candidates to create a social community for them.
Accommodation support – we are the only agency to work in partnership with UNITE, housing for key workers. Dream candidates also have access to our accommodation contacts.
Bank account – we arrange an account for you prior departure from your home country.
Weekly pay – unlike many other agencies that pay fortnightly, we pay weekly in arrears.
Regular newsletters – informing our candidates of training, social events, changes at Dream and social suggestions.
Resourcing centre – we have a resource centre with PC’s, telephones and internet access where for all our overseas candidates to use to help with accommodation searches or anything else to make your move to the UK easier.
