We are a public hospital and have an operating budget of around $700 million. We deliver a comprehensive range of health services, from acute inpatient care to community-based programs, as well as internationally recognised research and education.
We serve a population of nearly one million people living in Melbourne’s northern and western metropolitan regions and provide a range of specialist services to all Victorians, including a major Trauma Service.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s two campuses, VIDRL, the administrative offices of NorthWestern Mental Health, and North West Dialysis Service are just minutes from the city’s central business district, and from Carlton’s famous Lygon Street.
